solid email marketing for small businesses

i was looking at Lead Generation Tools and ended up signing up for Constant Contact's trial, then snagged a pretty good discount for a year. it's been working out well, though i wish the mobile app was a bit more robust for editing campaigns on the go. overall, it's a good alternative to something like Mailchimp and i'm happy with the Standard plan features.

Great value with the discount!

I saved 25% on my first year, and the Automated Welcome Emails work perfectly, though I wish their survey builder was a bit more robust.

Good features, wish finding info was easier!

Compared to Mailchimp, Constant Contact really shines with its Marketing Automation features, making it super easy to set up drip campaigns. The A/B Testing is also straightforward to use. My only minor gripe is trying to find specific help articles, like how to access the Partner Console, sometimes takes a bit more digging than I'd like. Otherwise, a solid platform for the price! 😊

Always a solid choice!

Anyone else keep coming back to Constant Contact? I've tried Mailchimp and GetResponse, but CC always feels more reliable. Their Facebook Ads Integration is super easy to use, and I saved 27% on my last subscription thanks to an automatic prepayment discount. Just wish they made their refund policy a bit clearer upfront.

Good value with prepayment

I was looking for an email marketing platform and found Constant Contact. They had a decent offer for prepaying for 12 months, which gave me 30% off. It felt like a solid saving compared to monthly. The 'Marketing Analytics' has been pretty useful for my small business, showing me what's working. Overall, I felt like I got good value for the features provided, especially with that discount.

Decent tools, some minor issues

I used Constant Contact for 'Email Marketing' and 'List Segmentation' for my online store. The tools are generally straightforward, and getting my first campaign set up was pretty easy. Delivery of emails was reliable, and the templates were fine. My only real gripe is that the 'Website Builder' felt a bit limited compared to others I've tried. It's not bad, but could use more flexibility. Customer service was quick to answer a question I had about integrations, so that was a plus. It's a solid platform for the price, but don't expect a super robust website builder.

Easy to get started

Needed something for my newsletter, and a friend suggested Constant Contact. I just jumped on their site and signed up for the 'Email Marketing' plan. It was pretty simple to import my contacts and use one of their 'Email Templates'. Didn't have any trouble getting my first email out. It just felt really easy to use, you know? Like, I'm not super techy, but I figured it out without much fuss. The 'Automated Welcome Emails' feature was a nice touch too.

My Constant Contact Black Friday discount isn't applying correctly. Anyone else?

W WebWizKid 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Mine worked fine. Did you clear your cache/cookies before trying?

M MarketingMaven88 2 weeks ago
Oh, didn't think of that. Will try it now.

Are you sure you're on a new plan? Sometimes those Black Friday deals are for new accounts only, or specific plans.
0
M MarketingMaven88 2 weeks ago
It's a new account, trying to get the 30% off for 12 months.

C ContentQueen 2 weeks ago
I heard sometimes they don't stack with other offers, like if you tried the 60-day free trial first.

S SmallBizHero 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I had issues with a new customer offer a while back. Support eventually fixed it but it took a few days.

Same. My referral code never applied either.

Anyone get that 30% off Constant Contact deal to work recently?

D DigitalDave 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I got it a few months ago. It was for prepaying 12 months. Not sure if it's still active though.

Check if you qualify for the non-profit discount, that's a good chunk off if you do.

If I pre-pay for a year, do you get a better deal? Or is it the same monthly price?

D Dana 2 months ago
Definitely cheaper to prepay. I usually get a good chunk off for paying annually.

M Mike 2 months ago
They usually give a pretty good discount if you commit to 6 or 12 months upfront.

I'm looking at their plans, seems like the pricing changes based on contacts. Is that how it works?

P Phil R. 2 months ago
Yup, that's standard for most email marketing platforms. The more contacts you have, the more you pay.
3
B Beth 2 months ago
It's based on your list size. Just keep an eye on it as your list grows.

Is the 60-day free trial legit or do they make it hard to cancel?

S StartupSteve 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Totally legit. Just remember to cancel before the 60 days if you don't want to pay. It's pretty straightforward.

P PlanPro 2 weeks ago
Just make sure you're on the right plan during the trial if you plan to upgrade. Switching later can sometimes be a hassle with pricing.
3
C ConfusedChris 2 weeks ago
Yeah, their Lite vs Standard plans are a bit confusing.

N NewbieNisha 1 week ago
Good tip, thanks!
5
E EmailErin 2 weeks ago
I mean, it's a free trial. They want you to stay, so they'll probably send you some emails, but cancelling is easy from your account settings.

N NewbieNisha 2 weeks ago
Makes sense. Just wary of hidden fees.

Thinking of switching from Mailchimp to Constant Contact. Anyone have experience with both? Which one's better for e-commerce?

N Nick Carter 2 months ago
I used Mailchimp for a while but found CC a bit easier for the e-commerce integrations, especially with Shopify.
3
B Beth Lindqvist 2 months ago
Honestly, depends on what you need. Mailchimp has a decent free tier, but CC's automation felt more robust for my shop.

Does anyone know if Constant Contact is legit? Like, are they a real company or some fly-by-night thing?

C Cody 2 months ago
Totally legit. Been around for ages. I've used them for years for my online store's newsletters.

They're a big player in the email marketing space. Not a scam if that's what you're worried about.
